EC’s flash report on „Leading the new wave of deep tech innovation“ is out
Following the workshop organised by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency“Projects under the European Innovation Ecosystems Work Programme in support of the New European Innovation Agenda”, the Commission prepared a flash report including information on some of the projects of the first calls of European Innovation Ecosystems Work programme (EIE WP). What is Innovation Procurement Task Force and Why is it Important?
The European Union is constantly seeking ways to promote sustainability, resilience, and innovation across its
member states. In an effort to drive progress in these areas, PROCEDIN, BUILD and Health InnoFacilitator
projects have recently launched the Innovation Procurement Task Force, a collaborative initiative aimed at
supporting procurement in innovative areas such as the circular economy, green mobility, and healthcare. The
task force is comprised of three EU-funded projects, each with a unique focus and approach to innovation
procurement.

To answer these questions and more, four workshops under the BUILD project will be organised in March and
April 2023 by the City of Tartu, the city of Turku and the expert organisation Valonia. Events aspire to enhance
the interest of buyers and suppliers in innovation procurement.
Innovation procurers and their engagement discussed at Value Proposition Workshop
The BUILD project team took part in the online workshop organised by Civitta last week. Together with other
partners from City of Turku, Tartu and Rotterdam, we focused on:
· understanding the BUILD audience (their perspectives, pains and gains)
· understanding how BUILD actions add value for innovation procurers
· framing BUILD actions in statements to engage wider audience.
